Current Research Projects
Postdoctoral Research
In my current post-doctoral project, I explore equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) barriers for immigrant employees in the white male-dominant cybersecurity sector.
Book Projects
Currently, I'm working on two book projects:
In my sole author book project, I analyze the gendered work of selling beauty products by women of color and the processes of racialization and re-articulation of racial identities in white male-owned chain stores in comparison with women of color entrepreneurial beauty stores.
My co-authored book is a sociological investigation of North American families with a focus on Canadian families from an intersectional perspective. This book centers experiences of minority families through articulating an understanding of families that are diverse, non-normative, and intersectional thereby inviting the undergraduate audience of readers to question the traditional definitions of families and explore new definitions and constitutions of families over the last 150 years.
